A Girl With Many Interests

Me and my mom have a small garden but a lot of oregono so we decided to cut some of it down but we didn't want to waste all of it. So we looked online how to dry oregono. Its  ery you just cut some down dry it on a plate for a few day, crumple it off the stems an put it in the air tight canning jar. Me and my mom are in the drying stage!

My new hobby

Over the weekend I found a new hobby thanks to my teacher! YOU ROCK! Anyway my new hobby is sewing. Trust me its tons of fun when you don't get stabbed from the needle. I found some needles and tread in my drawer. I made some bags for the girl scouts and some dog toys. I love to sit in front of the TV and knit, crochet, and sew. You should try it.

Cool, Radical, and Just Plain Awesome Scarf

I am making a scarf. Every 5-7 rows I do a different stitch. I started out with garter stitch (just plain knitting) and then I went to the seed stitch (which is every other stitch is knitting and every other other stitch is purled). I just keep doing combos of knitting and purling

Warming Up America

I found a program where you make a knited or crochet square any size and you can look online to find out where to put in and they take it and sew the together to make blankets for thoose who needs them

Crocheting With Plastic

I learned how to crochet with plastic! I cut up plastic bags, tied them together and voila.
I like it because it's recycling and making something cool! I don't have a pic.

I found this on: Simple Sweet Yarns (blog)

Nubbie Scrubbies

This pattern makes a nice, thick, textured dishcloth or washcloth that is perfect for gift giving.

Yarn : Bernat Cotton Solids
Hook: 4.00mm or G
Abbreviations:
Ch-chain
Sc- single crochet
Tr-treble crochet (US)

Chain 3o loosely. (You may want to use a size H hook just for the chain)

Row 1: Tr in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next ch.*Tr in next ch, Sc* repeat to end of row, ending with a Sc. Ch 1. turn.

Row 2: Sc 28 times to the end of the row. Be sure to Sc in the top of the ch1 space.Ch 1. turn.
Repeat rows 1 and 2, 12 more times.

(note: The cloth may not look square, but will shrink to a square after washing it if using 100% cotton yarn.  You may wish to adjust the repeats depending on your own tension, and or yarn choices.)

Edging: At the end of the last "row2", ch1 but do not turn. Sc in same hole and turn work 90 degrees. *Sc 27 times evenly spaced along the left side to the corner. Ch1, Sc in same hole and turn work 90 degrees.* Repeat across bottom and right sides of the cloth.
Slip stitch to the top of Sc, and tie off.
